I thought the 8 stood for imitating the sound of -guage at the end of the word language.

If you are on a PC, right click your toolbar and highlight the toolbar cascade, then enable the ‘Language Bar’. There should be an ‘EN’ on your toolbar now if you are in english. Right click the ‘EN’, then click ‘add’ to add a language. When you want to change your language, left click the ‘EN’ button and select your language and means of input. I recommend ‘Hiragana’ for input. Hope this helps
